Professional Competencies and Skills:
Through my educational and professional experiences, I’ve had the opportunity to build a strong, diverse skill set that has proven to be an asset in many different situations. Read below to learn more.

Communication
With a minor in Communication and various roles in academic organizations, professional events, and through work I have had the opportunity to hone in and develop my communication skills in social, academic, and professional environments. I am confident in my ability as a communicator- both verbally and non-verbally because of what I have learned in both my course work and with first-hand experience.
I know how to communicate effectively when it comes to working in a group, and when it comes to adapting to new situations and environments. Having gained my certification in German language proficiency, I was also have experience in communication when it comes to being abroad and learning another language.
Leadership
Having experience in leadership is demonstrated through the various organizations I am a part of the roles I have held in each one of them. Serving as a Study Abroad Peer Advisor to being an Ambassador Leader for the Dial Center and Communication Studies Minor, I have gained valuable experience and insight into what it means to be a good and effective leader.

As a leader, I have represented my specific college, helped mentor students, learned how to delegate tasks, manage my time wisely, and have been someone for my peers to come to for advice, and more. Being a personable and resourceful leader has allowed me to successfully gain roles in different organizations to help me serve my passions

Adaptability and Organization

Through working with numerous different organizations and people- both individually and in group settings, I have gained the skills of being adaptable to various situations and environments as well as learning how to be organized. Whether it is adapting to a foreign country, different personalities in a group, or to an individual when it comes to advice, my involvement has helped develop my skills of adaptability in an infinite amount of ways.

In order to be adaptable, and involved in various events, organizations, and activities I have also gained the skill of being organized. Knowing how to prioritize my tasks, and maintaining an organized schedule is a vital skill I have that has allowed me to be successful in the things I undertake.
Teamwork
Being on a team and working with others is another skill I have developed and improved upon throughout my academic and professional experiences. Being cooperative, and knowing how to problem solve and brain storm are vital in order to successfully complete various tasks I have been assigned.

My ability to be a cooperative and beneficial team player is illustrated in the special events I have been a part of hosting and organizing in my college, to working on a group project for a class, and more. Having the skill of teamwork also helps create interpersonal relationships that are vital to any social, professional, and academic setting.
